Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Nothing more needs to be said…

I’ve always loved the Harry Potter movies, but had only managed to get through the 1st book. I started reading it in high school, and managed it fairly well, but when I tried to read the second one, I was in college, and I failed miserably. I found it hard to find the time to read a book for pleasure when I had loads of work in class, and responsibilities for SGA/ church/ life.

Now that I’m out of school, the evenings are free, which is good. Inspired by my lovely friend, Janette Parker(… SOON TO BE PLATTER!!!!!) I decided to read the entire series of books before the premier of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 came out in theaters.

Let’s just say, if I didn’t already love Harry Potter, I do now. It’s amazing how much detail and thought went into the stories! I loved the movies, but after reading the first 3 books, and being about 1/3 of the way into the 4th book, the story has made even more sense to me, and I have become a little consumed in the story. Believe it or not, I’ve been having dreams about Harry Potter- we’re best friends. Fighting dementors, sneaking around the castle, and drinking pumpkin juice while wearing our cozy Gryffindor sweaters are common occurances for us… no biggie.

I am so excited for the premier of the movie. I am certianly glad that I have kept my Hermione costume from Halloween my freshman year, because it will definitely be worn this November! Just saw the trailor this morning, and wanted to share it with you. Thank you @janetteparker via @emwatson for this extremely exciting clip:
